If you know me, you should probably know this fact:
I don’t feel lonely shopping alone. I’ve walked along Orchard so many times alone and not once did I feel lonely. Now it’s the same here. This is pretty normal I guess. But there’s another thing you should probably know.
I talk to random strangers back home.
I still do it here.
I chatted with the lady selling ink at a kiosk and some other people in the supermarket. What’s different? Back home, I understood every word the person said. Over here, I took 5 minutes pretending to understand when I tried to figure out the words. Ah hypocrite. I know. But he was so old and lonely and I guess everyone’s been avoiding him and he looked so happy to have someone to talk to so I listened anyway.
Most people love to work with kids because they’re full of energy and make you feel young. However, I’ve always been the opposite. I prefer older people because they are full of life. Old and foolish, old and wise. Either way, they’ve walked through life and therefore are full of it. If you look into their eyes, it’s so difficult not to feel what they are feeling.
People told me. Don’t work with the elderly because you’ll feel tired as their “oldness” rubs off you. I wonder. Why can’t I work with them and let my “youngness” rub off to them? Why has it got to be the other way?
Hmm why?

I changed the lighting in my room and I don’t feel sleepy all the time anymore!
Hurrah!
Yellow lights feel so romantic but they make me want to sleep all the time!
And my printer stopped being nuts.
Yay.
